We arrived in Salta after dans birthday and decided it was time to detox after BA as we were not getting home earlier than 6am. We thought we might get some sleep on our bus, but we had some fat dude sitting next to matt which was quite funny. This dude could snore, i thought my dad was bad but this man was god ive never heard anything like it, the whole bus could hear him. But no one would tell him, as he was huge and i couldnt speak spanish, which was handy. Anyway we arrived in Salta which is in the very north of the country, we could only stay here a few days as we have to get in San Pedro as buses only leave on Wed and Sun so only a short say. We spent most of our time wondering around the love town, they had some lovely building and the town was really buzzing on saturday night loads of families out shopping and having a good time. We went up in another cable car over looking the whole town and then a gentle walk down in training for the Inca Trail. The rest of the time was spent in a really nice restuarant eating good food for next to nothing. After this its back on the orginal track up to Cuzco, through San Pedro and into Peru. Not a bad d-tour ay, and well worth every minute.
