Six Months Baby
You might be wondering why the hell we are all the way over in Buenos Aires, when we said we would be only going to Peru and Chile, well its quite simple. Its costs about 2 pound for a steak and chips and this is no small steak, its quality. A litre of beer costs less than a pound, Why not!
Anyway we arrived in BA after a nice coach ride, yes a nice coach, and found a good hostel just off the main road. We got chatting to a few people about what goes on here and to our amazement they told us not to go out before 1am as its dead, but after that it goes mad, and they were not wrong. Our first night was spent in a club called Mint and us Gringo went along and had a great night, the club was huge full of non gringo lovers, which was quite funny. Anyway. The next night we got chatting to a lad from Brazil and he invited us with him and a few girls. We got to the club about 3am and oh my god, we queued for a bit and then all hell broke lose, it nearly turned out into a full blown riot, the bounces and to push the barriers back just to keep the argies out, we just stod but and laughed our heads off. Once we saw this we decided that we were not going to get into this club and decided to go home.
We eventually got out of the hostel during the day, and went for a bit of shopping in the big BA, everything is so cheap, I brought a Boca Juniors shirt for 25 pounds, yes and it is real, dan brought a River Plate shirt (away) and Matt brought a shirt that no one really knows are in the 3rd division or something and they told him they were in the 1st div. LOL. There was some really nice shops and loads of them, a good place to go shopping if you have the money.
Then the Pere de las ristance of BA, we visited La Boca, the home of Boca Juniors football club. We had a tour around the town and then went to the stadium. What an amazing stadium it was huge and very breath taking just sitting in the main stand. Some of the pictures when games where being played were amazing they are mad, sadly the season had not started yet so we didnt see a game. But it was brilliant just to see the stadium, and they are Maradona mad hes everywhere, git. Oh and they love talking about the 1986 World Cup, a lot, and not much about the 2002 world cup, i really dont no why.
We are off to Uruguay for a couple of days but we will be back to BA for a couple more days...
After afew days in Uruguay with scoty Andy, we came back to BA. We said good bye to andy after a good night in some packed club, they love clubbing over here its a joke and they only go out after 1am.
Anyway we met up with Jason Mason and the rest of the group, and even got some new additions in Manee, Raj, Mark Williams aka Neal, Hannah and John the Canadian who were saying in our room. After afew days we were ment to be making our way up to Chile, however we loved BA so much we decided to stay afew more days till Dans birthday. We went on a few walks around the city and had some great night chatting up Argtentian women great fun, only trying to learn the language of cause.
For dans birthday we all went out as a big group i think about 10 of us, so it felt like home, went for a meal and drunk for the most of the day and went to a club on the docks and partyed all night long as Lioniel Richie would say.
The next day we sadly had to pack our bags a make our way up to Salta on a lovely 20 bus journey, hip hip horay.
