Khao Sok National Park, To Railay.

Gutted to leave Khao Sok, loved it there. Mental mini-van drivers seem to be the norm...

Arrived at Ao Nammao pier for our taxi shuttle by long tail boat to Railay East beach. Mich was intorduced to her back pack (pic to prove it). Still lovely weather, went exploring beaches, bars and of course local wildlife! Hotel had lush pool and cheeky resident monkeys.

Had an amazing trip to Ko Phi Phi islands, Maya Bay, Bamboo Island, Monkey beach and a few others. 'Best',our local guide was brilliant, funny and informative.

Maya beach was put on the map by Leonardo Di Caprio (The Beach), mich covered it in blood after slicing her toe jumping from our speed boat (more like a jaws scene now). Lush beach, made better by seeing a sea snake close up, (Spotter!). Thanks to Leo, the island was rammed with tourists, so we were pleased to visit other quieter ones. Mich even had a crash lesson in how to bomb, shes a natural. Monkeys raided our boat, hilarious. Got some snorkelling in on Bamboo Island, rays, puffer fish, and loads more, no reef sharks on our visit.

Pay attention...some useless trivia....Viking cave, so named from the cave paintings inside, is auctioned every four years- current residents have owned it for 22 years. They pay for the privilage of living in the cave to harvest swift nests, worth a fortune to feed the chinese.

Tiger Temple turned into a proper work out (for one of us), well over a thousand steps in over 30 degrees, to the Buddha at the top, fantstic views. Hat off to you Albs, i've seen your pics from there, you made the top! Aparantly the ice creams are very nice at Tiger temple (for those that didn't make the climb).

Emerald pool was scenic, as were the hot springs. Sorry for all the selfies, on the plus side we are now trusting strangers to take pics (Mums chilling), met some lovely ones...hello Lizzi from Germany.

Last minute decision, and a 5 hour trip, were now in Phuket....were off lady-boy spotting, maybe a game of ping pong? Update you all soon. x
