Bangkok to Miami Baby!
Arrived in Bangkok
Emirates flight from Gatwick, lovely. Emirates flight from Dubai, OK but very nearly missed! Nice hotel, tasty breakfast. Tour of temples today, Bangkok is extraordinarily busy at the mo, as the country is still mourning King Bhumibol Adulyadej, who died at the ripe old age of 88. Its nearing his year from his passing, so the Grand Palace is closed to tourists, allowing Thai people to que for 10 hours to pay there respects for his cremation ceremony on the 26th October, in the new temple, purpose built for the occasion. Roads and streets surrounding the Grand Palace chocca block. Good job Khoa San Road is open for business as usual, nearly Chang O'Clock! Laters Taters, pics to follow.
