Today I left paihia to join the family who is going to host me for the next two weeks, giving me an accommodation and food in exchange for my help.
They have a typical kiwi farm, with orchards and animals in the middle of the mountains!
it's definitely a quiet place where you can enjoy the nature and be completely immersed in it!
Jeson and Emma (the parents) are very friendly and they welcomed me in a warm way!
The 6 (six!!!) children are so lovely (till now...) and with a lot of energy!
I arrived around 11am and I started immediately to work, raking the hay and sharing the "good" one from the "bad" one.. I think i will learn a lot of new tasks here, having fun at the same time!
For dinner they cooked for all an amazing meal : roasted ship (from their own farm) with potatoes, carrots and green beens! Very tasty!!
Anyway I'm going to use this place like base to explore all the region and I have already organized two trips to have during my two free weekends... I'm looking forward to do it!!
Go to sleep early that tomorrow there will be an intensive "farm day"!!!
