Did a bit of planning before setting off today as neither of us could face another day of too much walking. Caught the UBahn out to the Olympic stadium, really amazing how it's still functional after 70 odd years and perry lakes didn't even last 50. The stadium is now the home ground for Hertha BSC, the local Berlin soccer team. Big day of touristing today as this is really the first big city with lots of things that we want to do and see. We started off with a lovely coffee at a local cafe then into Alexanderplatz and went up the TV tower to take in the panorama of Berlin. Very spectacular. Left Poznan around 10 am and ken the gps said it was a 3.5 hr drive. We really caught him out this time as the Poles have built a new Autostrada since he was programmed so it was only about 2 hrs. We had to turn him off in the end as he kept wanting us to turn around. If we had known we could have done the drive from Warsaw in one day but no bother. Packed up and left apartment by 10am. Set ken the gps for Poznan and we were on our way. Usual polish roads, although these ones didn't have holes and bumps but the speed limit changes every 100 metres, much to Stephen's annoyance.
