Had free breakfast again in hotel then went to look at Malbork castle. It was the headquarters of the Teutonic Knights, a German religious order from 13th to 15th century. It survived until WW11 when it was badly damaged but has been rebuilt since. It certainly is the biggest castle we have seen so far as it took about 2 hours to walk around it. Left hotel after breakfast (as included in room price) and drove out to " The Wolf's Lair", Hitler's base from 1941-1944. Obviously not much left as the Nazis blew it up on retreat. Kaz is feeling the stress of my driving so I am doing the blog for today.
