A quick flight from Bangkok saw us land on a slightly overcast Koh Samui....we decided to stay in the busiest resort Chaweng for a couple of nights, and ended up in "Seascape Resort". Right on the beach with a pool aswell! The minute we unpacked our-increasingly heavy-back packs the sun popped out and it was scorching! Out came the factor 30 and we settled down for some serious sun worship. The hotel was full of very brown Italian and French people in speedos. There were loads of nice restaurants (mostly all -you-can-eat BBQ type things...mm,yummy) Check out my picture of one of the local ladyboys!! We decided to stay for a couple more nights, then another, before we decided to get ourselves in gear and off to another island. We are off to Koh Pangan, home of the Full Moon Party, although we have just missed one. I have decided to ditch the backpack and invest in a proper suitcase WITH WHEELS. There is really no need in this day and age to carry something as heavy as a fridge freezer on your back, not when there are paved roads around. Even over rough ground I would rather drag it...
