We decided to visit Singapore on a visa run (Another 30 days when we return to Thailand) and loved it. Day 1 - Jo decided she wanted to talk to the animals a la Dr Dolittle so off to the Zoo we went. It was excellently laid out and we spent 6 hours going from one habitat to another, thank god the camera ran out of batteries half way through or we would have a whole album just for Jo's animal photos, we also booked to see the Night Safari the following day. Day 2 - We opted for a little more culture and spent the morning shopping on Orchard Road. There are loads of malls, we saw quite an up market joint advertising Cartier, Gucci and Louis Vitton and located on the 2nd floor of the basement next to the fire escape Vision Express (it was like stepping back in time, they even had 241). Next stop Raffles, we could not resist the old Singapore Sling (7 quid each !!!) but I can't think of a better location to have one. Finally off to the Night Safari with Jo Dolittle, how many animals can you see in pitch black ? although I must say it was really enjoyable. Day 3 - Sentosa Island Singapores premier entertainment venue NOT !! not much there except an aquarium and the Pink Dolphin show which, yes, you guessed it Jo wanted to visit. We caught the cable car back to the mainland via Mount Faber. Catching flight back to Bangkok and the 6am flight to Ko Samui, ahhhhh BEACH !
