Airlie Beach is the jump off point for sailing the Whitsunday Islands and that was precisely what we intended to do. The problem is, is that there is so much choice. Not much to report from Townsville, we elected to give Magnetic Island a miss in favour of a visit to Reef HQ and the IMAX cinema. Reef HQ is the largest living reef aquarium in the world (don't quote me on that but i think it is true) we only went in to spot some of the fish we saw on the dive boat but non the less it was still a good way to while away a few hours. We did absolutely nothing for 2 whole days.It was wonderful just walking up and down the pristine beach (shame you could not swim in the sea because of the stingers - jellyfish).Next stop Townsville where hopefully there will be a PC that will allow me to put all the photos on the website
