So far I've survived my first two days of school! The school is really great as are the students and teachers - there are seven students at the school at present (Canadians, English and Americans) who are broken into three classes. T We also all eat our three daily meals together at the main villa where classes are held. he first day was really tough as in my class my other two class mates had already been there a day, so I had to play catch-up, but today was much better. I've got tense, verbs and gender coming out my ears. Anyone for a conjucation? First person plural please,,,,,,,,
For the second two hours of class today our teacher for the week (Paco) took the three of us up to Tepozltan's markets where he went around labelling different fruit, vege and foods and getting us to repeat back the names we then asked a number of venders the prices of different quantities of produce in Spanish - which is a really good practical exercise for hearing the words said by many different people.
One thing that definitely struck me ath the market was that the people here are all so short - most of the population in the area would only just reach my shoulder height - and I'm not tall by any stretch. Jamie, you might be just tall enough to be a catwalk model here!!!
Hasta manana
