Headed south to Tulum for my last two nights in the Mexico. We stayed a place called Paypaya Playa in little huts (cabanas) perched on the rocky foreshore just about an amazing white sand beach. The huts had walls made out of lose fitting sticks and a thatched roof, the bed in the middle had a mosquito net to keep out the nasties as the stick walls had large gaps to allow cooling by sea breeze. Yesterday we arrived in Playa Del Carmen, it was a relief to see the sea after a month spent predominately in the clouded Mexican highlands was a relief. After San Christobal we had a five hour bus journey on a road that was even more windy that the road to San Christobal! It ened up in low land and some very welcome heat, though the nolivety of the humidity soon wore off. Lucha Libre (lucha = wrestling, libre = free) is the Mexican form of professional wrestling performed by very large men (generally 220lbs+) many with large beer guts, wearing lycra and gimp masks.
