Parents, don't worry! Just got back from the Death Ride, survived to live another day! Got abs caked in mud, have sore arms and hands from the cold and gripping the brakes so much!White-knuckling scary!! Got a free tee-shirt at the end, whoppie! I've read about the La Paz Prison, its no longer open to tourists, but we are going to try and see if we can get in (with advice from the Lonely Planet book "Pretend to be a realitive of one of the prisioners, you can get their names from a list on a website")! Yes, it really says that! Lets wait and see if that works! Mum, my fly bites are a lot better now, I´ll be buying a bag full of insect repellent for the Amazon!Dont want a repeat of sleepless, itchy nights! You must be glad the term is over, now you can relax and treat yourself, as you work too hard! When will you be going to Edinburgh, keep me informed on how it goes! How is Peter? Glad Grandma is okay, will try and send her a postcard soon, going from one place to another doesnt leave much time to find a postbox! Dad, not sure if you've managed to find an internet cafe in Sri Lanka, are you having a good time? How was the flight? Been on any camel rides yet? Adam, I never doubted that Steven Gerrard would leave Liverpool! Is it true Michael Owen is rumoured to want to move back to Liverpool? Wonder what new players will be brought in. How is your summer going? Seeta sounds like you are having a wild time!!! Just make sure you behave yourself, dont do anything I wouldnt! *winks*!!Cant wait to hear about it!!Aunt Val, you would love Peru there are lots of things to do there, plenty of sightseeing and trekking as well as markets which sell beautiful bits of hand-made art work, was very temped to buy a massive painting but common sense got there first, carrying it around with me for the next 2 months isnt ideal! Jess, how was the jungle? Did you go to "Hamburger Hill" where the American soliders were dropped food (Hamburgers!) and left lots of wrapping behind, hence the name!! Emlyn has posted the latest long-awaited postcard, enjoy!! Hopefully photos will be downloaded soon.
Em's Dad
HELLO you three! A really good post-card from La Paz today. Well done! So many thrilling activities, we had to read it twice. Have heard of course of MACHU PICHU, Lake Titicaca (is that really its name?) but the way you describe them whets my apetite to go there too - maybe not the bungee jumping or the Gravity Assisted Mountain Biking (from La Cumbre?). Expecting the photos - IF you manage to download them from your camera - to be a bit grainy! If you think you are living dangerously (bungee, bikes, train tunnels...) - rest assured that you are possibly safer where you are than you would be in London, Egypt, Turkey or China at the present time. Been to La Paz PRISON yet? Keep up your apetite for seeing interesting places - but not too interesting, maybe!!
Bree's Mum
Just read about your scarey adventures which thanks to Embles will give me nightmares! But I think you are all amazing and very special (not pecial needs ) I have special needs re my lack of computer skills! Just don't do any more wild sand boarding, bungy jumps or walking down dark train tunnels. Boys, keep yourselves and my darling daughter safe please! My term ended yesterday and very emotionally too because four staff left, all of them very special people and school life will not be the same without them, Grandma is well but she misses you and can't wait for your return-that is true of us all! I won't tell her about the train or she might have a heart attack!I hope your bites are better now Bree. I love you very very much and will be in touch again soon xxxxxxx
Kathy
Anthony - so glad and relieved to hear from you! It has been a bit worrying! Your adventures in Peru must have been just amazing and so am looking forward to reading Emlyn's postcard. All of you TAKE CARE! and especially on that road! Lots and lots of love from your very relieved Mum xxxxxxx
Antonio
Hey everyone,
Our apologises for making you all getting anxious. We were trying our best to try to keep you updated to comfort yourself that we re ok and following the process of our adventure! Anyway, everything´s fine and we are well.
The last 2 weeks, we were in Peru. We didn´t expect there are lots of things to do and that rushed us up with the time limit. Emlyn is going to send a long postcard later tonight. So our puishment is that we will do a big job to explain everything as we can and also the photos for your relief, happiness and excitment! We went to Chiclayo, Lima, Nazca, Arequipa, Cuszo and Puno. We had a brilliant time, especially on the Inca Trail trip, the Lake Titicaca, and the scene of the famous Nazca lines. Peru is an unbelievable country because the views of the mountains were absolutely beautiful. There are plenty of activities options and we are loving their cultures.
Mum, I can imagine what will be your reaction when my message popped up on the website! We are in La Paz, capital of Bolivia. We had a good day, strolling around the city and collecting the information for our travel plans for the next few days. Tomorrow, we are going to ride on the most dangerous road in the world! We are so looking forward to it, no matter what if it happens to something! We are now relaxing in the hotel, at last! We are sorting out doing washing our clothes, sewing badges on our backpacker, etc... Sinead, we are still kicking and alive! Hope you a had a good time on the sailing, yes you are right becky that I wouldn´t miss it as we´ve just been in Lake Titikaka. If you guys in Spain want to know what the weather is like here. It´s pretty cold, as it´s the highest capital in the world. So you guys, happy?!
My ex-traveller partner CJ, hope you are settling on well with plumber? How it treating you through the summer mate?! I´m curious if you have been to Egypt yet? If not, wondering where you going? I´ll guess Sharm El-Sheikh. I am happy to give you the details of wherever you go as I am an expert of Egypt!!
Mark, many thanks for the messages. Sorry my mobile isn´t working atm as no credit left! Not surprisly Tiger Woods won the British Open. Glad that you had a great time in Europe and I´m sure it was a good experience. What are you doing atm? Coaching football for qualification?
To the tennis fellows, I´ve been thinking of you if you are in Austria or not, but thanks to Roger and Julie for informing me. Did you go to Wimbledon for the exhibition? I wish you all good luck and play well. I´m begging that Kreig will not win. If one of you guys beat him, honestly i will give you a gift - erm....... how about 5 pints?! ALLEZ!
And to the rest of you, all the messages you have sent are very touchable and we always love to know what you are up to. Your updates of the latest news are very useful for us. Cheers
Take care
Antx

Hello, thought I'd make an appearance again on this website, (my fellow housemates-hope u re not missing me too much)! Sounds like it's going great guns for you all so far, am wondering where you are now and what mischief you are getting up to! Embles-Dad has been updating me on football-saying that Viera signed for Juventus for 13.5 million pounds, Henry the new captain, and for you Ant, Gerrard decided, eventually, to sign for Liverpool and not Chelsea! Us four are now in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, tmw gg for a boat trip through the jungle on the Mekong delta-should be good!
Hope u 3 are keeping well so far, and Bree that you are ok coping with the boys' behaviour :-)
