I have just seen your website - it is amazing. I am so, so jealous - there are places you've been to that I have always fancied going to - your photos may be the inspiration to get going there! Now I'm 50 I feel rather old now but that shouldn't matter. I've just returned from an International Youthweek in Northern Germany - students from Germany, Wales, Finland and Poland all meet together and have a great time together for 10 days and I get to teach an artworkshop to them all. I got very little sleep but got some great memories and loads of friends and emails to answer! We are off to Crete on Tuesday - sounds rather tame when you are in the exotic Equador but I can start planning a South American adventure when I get back....... Lots of love and hope to see you and Adam this summer, from Val ( and Chris and Rhodri and Steffan)XXXXX
Carolyn (Cousin Of Kathy)
Hi Antony (Bree & Emlyn) I am a cousin on your Granpa Eddie's side of the family and now living in Spain on the Costa Blanca (as of 1st July) Your mum sent me this website and suggested I write (it is a mum thing!)
Anyway you all sound as if you are having great fun and that is the main thing as long as you keep safe.
I will check in on you now and again to see what you are up to.
Take Care

Me again making up for lost time ...
Forgot to say how splendid are the clown pyjamas you all are wearing - great new fashions there in that trendy part of the world. I'm taking Kate shopping in the soldes on Monday to kit her out for her birthday after months in the desert.
Monday was a beautiful, sunny day with the burying of Granny's ashes in the memorial gardens of Canterbury Cathedral - fabulous music, poetry and tributes, and people from the town and university there, plus family of course.
Today I went to see the plays put on by Comprendre et Parler after their stage théâtre - really brilliant again both in content and costumes, set, props etc, I enjoyed it so much. And of course, Emlyn, all the interpreters and logopèdes wanted news of you - to say nothing of Marie, Rebecca etc etc - I just handed out the website address OK?
We've no news of you since you got into Peru and of course, being parents, are really anxious. Have you been eaten by llamas? If it were Emlyn's turn to write we would understand - he'd probably lost his fountain pen or hearing aid on the way round. But Bree, you're so conscientious about the suntan lotion surely you won't forget your fanclub.
Love to you all
Sinead

Your amazing adventure is something you'll always remember - we look forward to following your progress. We saw Robbie at Aunty Gillian and Uncle Ivor's house yesterday. He looks well and is enjoying his time in Manchester. Your Great Great Uncle Ben (Grandma Rosalind's Uncle) also sends his love and wishes you well.
Seeta! :d
Lol, look like you have been doing something craziest ever! (Typical!) That will be really interesting to listen to all those gory details when I see you, Im sure that it will take hours & hours! I think Ill better bring my pillow in case I fall asleep! Oi Martine! *gasps* :-O What the hell was that *groans* for?! Whats wrong with me?! ;) Oi, Im gonna behave in Ibiza! By the time the lads come over, I wouldnt do anything that you girls would! *glares at Martine* ;) Im sure that youve heard about the blasts in London, dont worry, Im safe and sound :) Anthony, I like the photo of you between North & South hemisphere!! That makes me considering of going there!! I must say that the photo of Breé from North and Embles from South looks so cool! :) Anthony, tell the mate of yours (the donkey!) that he looks so gorgeous! ;) as your best friend, I bet that the donkey (I wonder what his name is!) treats you better than Embles does! Im starting to look forward to see you all coming back! (I know there are months & months to go!) Dont you think about showing off your tan to me (I am not sure if Embles can show off his tan after seeing the photo of you in Cotopaxi Volanco! *chuckles*) Cos Im gonna show off my dark chocolate-coloured skin when Im back from Cyprus, lol! ;) Thank goodness that Im not the only person who has a thing for getting stamps on my passport! Usually, I get excited when my passport got another stamp on it Sometimes some b******s refused to put some stamps on my passport, my dad would have been staying there & persuading them non-stop, how sweet/angelic I was, (I was little at that time!) I deserved to get some stamps on my passport blah blah!! I believe, mostly it works! ;) Lately I havent been getting some stamps! Gr! I think Ill better shut up, I think I really need someone to stop me from waffling too much! Take care! Xx

Ant - brilliant your latest message, and makes Ecuador sound fantastic. But you left the most important thing off the list - Emlyn forgot to bring his mum with him otherwise he'd never have had these difficulties. Still, I think you and Bree are managing amazingly well considering. Just imagine having to look after him for 20 years though! Sun has finally re-emerged in Brussels after cold and wet (badly flooded cellar last week, only just beginning to dry out, no wonder no-one wants to buy the house). So we relax in the garden, play golf, etc etc and just wait for the next message to appear to entertain us. Kate returns tomorrow, Canterbury for the day on Monday ... Bisous to all
Martine
Hey guys! By the sound of this website, it's worth travelling just for the messages on the message board!!! ;)
I'm sure you have, by now, heard of the terrorist attacks in London, up to 50 confirmed dead, 700 injured. Catherine Drew was on the tube before the one that exploded, and she was stuck underground for 3 hours with no idea to what happened until she re-surfaced around 11am. She should buy a lottery ticket!!!
Anyway, your travels. Je suis jealous of your trips! (sorry Emyln my french was never any good!) I wonder if Ant is still doing his trademark "honest" !! Bless your cotton honest socks Ant. Bree, what were you thinking, going travelling with 2 blokes?! Good on you actually, as I'm sure Jessie, Becks, Lianne and Sophie fight for bathroom time.. whereas I don't think you'll encounter that problem! (assuming you get to use a bathroom at SOME point durin your backpacking travels...)
I am going to Ibiza next Tuesday, with Grace, Lisa, Seeta *groans* !! Cheryl Osbourne and Abigail. The lads will join us later, so I'm sure by the time they come Seeta will have got up to lots of mischief...!! ;) Of course, you'll hear our fabulous travel tales, maybe we'll even set up a website to outbeat yours!!! haha!
I better shut up, before the rambling gets the better of me!
Take care, stay safe :)
Love, Martine xxxx

Hi Bree, Emlyn and Anthony, Really enjoying all your news and find all your postcards just so descriptive and enjoyable to read. Well worth all your 'homework'!! Your experiences are just so different and unusual. In fact the website is compelling reading now!!! We are still enjoying ourselves in Spain and once again I am at Gill's and using her laptop - very useful when you have a son + 2 friends in South America! The news is full of the tragic situation in London - I am sure that you have been able to see pictures of the aftermath. Anthony, your Dad is coming out to join us tomorrow night so I'm sure there'll be a lot of golf. I am still enjoying the rest but have only read 2 of my 14 books! Still got a bit to go! The girls are playing a lot of tennis (trying to catch up with you Anthony) under Michael's orders. Robbie is working really hard (12 hour days) in Manchester. Grandma and Grandpa send love. Much love from me - Mum xxxx
