yooohoooo!
As Ant said earlier, we've just returned from Rurrenabaque, which was a truly wicked place! we wished we could stay there longer and do other tours such as the Jungle tour, where we would get to see Pumas, Jaguars, and all these big animals! unfortunately, time is too short and we had to get on to other places. we were supposed to set off to Uyuni this afternoon, but there was a huge hitch! mum, u shouldnt have said that, as i AGAIN AGAIN feckin left the battery charged up at our hotel in Rurrenabaque!! to add to that, it's sunday today, most shops are closed! we have decided to leave tomorrow for Uyuni after buying a new battery and charger (if there are shops selling them here!!) which would be another blow to my budget! :-( if any of u feel a bit of sympathy, i could set up a website for u all to donate me some quid!
Ramon! congrats for the second Baby, Layla! Jasper must be happy to have a sister now! is she deaf? bet u'll be very busy the next few months now! trying for another one soon? :-) as for the event in November, yeah i definitely would like to go, but aint got much idea where to get the ticket? let me know how to get it, or maybe u could get one for me? i'll pay ya back, in addition with the Glamour Ball ticket two years ago!
My darling Christopher Joneees! cheers for the message, u almost predicted well, i did ask the Internet cafe guy to stay behind me while i read ur message in case i fell asleep hitting the floor! but luckily, ur msg was quite interesting :-) as for bungee jump, u would have to do that, under peer pressure from ur fellow travellers!! (like in Venise, where u had full of pigeons on ur head and arms, when u had a phobia for them!)
Girls out there on the other side of the world, u re right, we boys have never felt soooo happier and relaxed, and the doubt of having Bree, as a girl, to travel with us have all gone! me and Ant re considering switching to Derby to be along Bree and her gang! u two, Jess and Bec ks, will be ok in Sheffy without us boys, right? i'm sure there will be new deafies coming in sheffy to entertain u girls! :-) speaking of buses, ours broke down last night, just before the Death Road! after an hour reapiring the water leaking or summat, it burst slowly back to life!
Papa, i could imagine u having the map of South America on the table in the living room, with printed photos from our albums around it, and u working out our route, searching the Internet for the journey travel hours, etc! sorry, didnt mean to make u out as a geek or anything! :-)
for the experts of cars (suddenly the thick name of John Lathey popped up in my mind) or Mike Clark would be able to help us. we are thinking of buying a car in Chile to speed up a bit time and to facilicate our exhausted fitness! (my laziness has been getting worser and worse recently, especially since lazying on the boat on the Amazon for three days! it truly was heaven!) anyway, back to the point, we aint got the faintest idea what to look out for from a car, its mileages (it's in km here), its year, blah blah! we re hoping for a campervan, so we can chill back comfortably, unlike in these enduring bus journies!
voila, stopping here and go out to enjoy the rarely La Paz sun!
Embles xxxx

Hola, just letting you parents know that we´re still punching each others! The Amazon in Rurrenabaque was WICKED! Bree will send her postcard after Salt Lake because it will be our last trip in Bolivia. We´re back to La Paz and arrived about 3 hours ago, 6am. We´re knackered after long long 16 hours by coach. We´re off to Salt Lake in Uyuni later this afternoon and guess how long it is? 14 hours!! There is no motorway or even a proper road. We are getting bored of journey through the mountains. They both look pretty ill atm but I am determined to go asap because of the limited time. Tennis, already finished the tournament?! Unlucky to everyone, must be the surface and the heat that affected you. Don´t worry, we will have British Open coming up next year. We will do well, won´t we?! Cathy, thanks for giving the website for the results. Is your wrist any better? It will take you time to be back on good form. Antx

Owe you an apology as I promised to let you guys know when my new baby's born, it's been a month exactly since my last message but seems only like yesterday! For the record, Layla Jasmine Henrike Fitzgerald-Woolfe was born on 13th July - only 3 hours labour and NO pain reliefs at all! We filmed the birth - Not for you - but for a project we are working on, a DVD 'Guide to pregnancy and childbirth for deaf parents'. Jasper's all curious and devious towards Layla who sleeps most of the time!
Stayed with your brother last week and met him again for another meal at Brighton the next day where he's all excited about his new career path and house hunting! Other than that all's well in Remark! and we're all looking forward to the Film and TV Awards in November - You'd better get your tickets as they're selling quite fast and the hotel's fully booked for the night!
Beep us when you're back and we'll organise sometime for you to meet Jasper and your technically god-niece Layla!
Hugs
RaMo xXx

Hello! The photos of SA look fooooooooeee!! Definitely wud like to visit Peru one day! It is pretty weird not seeing Ant and Embles after seein ur ugly mugs everyday for 8months from Becks and Jess, and Bree for Lia and Sophie! We all drooled over the idea of bungee jumping and just cant believe you actually had the guts to jump the 3rd highest jump in the world!!! Madddd! We are stranded in Hanoi (the capital of Vietnam) for another night cos our bus got "cancelled" due to it being "repaired"! So Laos is being postponed for another daayyyyy! Ey, thats travellin for you! Any experiences with buses like ours? Anyway, u three take care and like you said to us "Dont be ignorant to the dangers around you"! But then again, knowing you, you're gonna completely ignore ours and ur own advice!!! Love from us far east girlies stuck in Vietnam! xxxxxx P.S. Jess said La la la la laaa!

Maman
Hi guys, your news was worth waiting for though of course we have been massively concerned about your whereabouts and well-being, and starting not before time, to realise just how terribly we were going to miss you if it was for ever. Ant's mum and I have set up our own special hotline and can't wait for Bree's mum to join so we can really sort things out together. And here in Kraainem you wouldn't believe how much new interest you've brought into our dull routine lives: over breakfast we trace your route on the map (where the hell is La Paz anyway - wow! - things one learns at 55!); at lunchtime we wonder what (if anything) you are eating; and in the evenings we discuss endlessly any new contributions to the postcard, photoalbum or message board and then start trying to read between the lines - and the evening passes in a flash of excitement and speculation! So keep it up, it's all great - don't come back, our lives will be the poorer ....
It must be really exciting now embarking on your priority targets. I see you've bought another copy of the Lonely Planet, and your camera seems to be functioning pretty well despite the sandboarding. Watch out Emlyn though that besides all the other things you've mislaid you don't lose Bree and Ant as they are less easy to replace ... The crocodiles may not fancy a toughie like you but Ant and Bee, sorry, Bree, are special.
Here at home life is good and relaxed - especially on the beautiful new hammock I got for my birthday. Having Kate home is a good excuse to do some fun things we never get round to doing otherwise. Next week (6-10) we are in England for a few days and will visit JJJ, Toby and Newbury.
Don't forget us - our lives revolve round your messages and I'm sure you can feel we are thinking of you! xxx
Adam (Bree's Bro)
hey Bree, just stopped off at Dads on the way to Liverpool to send a message (hes still on holiday). Saw grandma on sunday - you should have seen her face when she heard about some of the things you were upto! I'll try n print some stuff from the site off for her while im here. South America sounds great, unlike here - the good weather hasnt lasted - its rainy n grey, n theres suddenly a lot of police everywhere too - last 2 times theres been armed police at chester station - just a couple today but on tuesday the place was full of them, the whole car park was full of police cars too. I think everyones a bit paranoid lately - I imagine it'll all blow over by time your home! Ive sent off for my provisional licence, so hopefully should be driving when dad gets back! Peters moving into tarporley soon, September 1st I think? but some people further down the chain want to move quicker. Mum just phoned, she sends her love too. Bye! xxx
