Please excuse for Mr Himel's earlier language. He had just been given lots of sedatives. However his main message was that he is thinking of you. I have just given him some tea and soon he will be on his beauty sleep. Enjoy the trips and make sure you don't get too drunk. (Himel just said "sick"). Take care

Em's Dad
Postcards and Messages - from all three of you - continue to interest. Looking forward, now, to the next batch of Photos. Pleased you found a charger (not pinched from the rucksack on the bus in the meantime?). Now watch the camera. A friend received the following from a relie who's some distance ahead of you lot: Voila, ca fait trois semaines qu on est a Cochabamba.
(photo of shack attached)
Hoping that your trek continues to be interesting but not too interesting!

Emlyn
Hola mi amigos!
in Riobamba waiting for a coach to Cuenca in 3 hours, then to the long-awaited opportunity to explore many mysteries of Peru! Ecuador has truly been a brilliant travel as our next postcard will detail it all with many gorgeous pictures!
anyway, wanted to reply to some of the messages u guys posted here!
Kate, u re right, Tobes' trying to make me jealous with that... erm... "SMS party", but let me tell him, haha, i havent ever thought abt my mobile that i dug it deep down at the bottom of my rucksack! i've has enough of texting everyday in UK, it's a truly lovely break from it out here, the feeling of not being dependent of my mobile is absolute lovely! that's probably why u (tobes) re having migraines out there in gloomy dirty london, with all the stresses coming in ur head, and sms-ing everyday...
The Death road u mentionned made me go look straight away in the Bolivia pages in the Lonely Planet, and screamed out "definitely"! when i went to tell Anthony abt that, that he will be passing tombs, etc all the way down the Death Road descent, his face changed from a fascinated-look face to a worrying face! some travellers we met yesterday also said it is a must! although, Kate, i think u've just put a huge weight onto ur shoulder, if anthing ever happens to one of us on that descent!
Seeta, "the craziest thing", erm, i dont really think it's a great idea to put them down here for the whole world to read them! u'll have to make the trip up to Sheffield in October to find out the details. in exchange, u fill me in all the gory details u and ur mates get up to in Cyprus and Ibiza!
Sanni - Oi, dont think hanging around guys for 3 months is a strain! it's a golden luck for a girl to be adopted into a group of guys who are up for any challenges and eagerness to explore everything! Bree seem to be coping well with the rush we do, going from places to places without doing much breaks like women like to do - going to the beach, etc! :-) although she is looking forward to one of the beach in Peru!
Wanda! nice to c u post a msg in there! yeah i've just heard abt Yassine being in Argentina, although i aint too sure who he is! :-/ we will definitely meet up with other deaf travellers, hopefully in Chile, Argentina and Brazil!
Papa! last night i was checking out the pictures from my digital, and realised that u've been a huge influence, with your un-countable mini photo albums of all the places u've been, of pictures i'd never have thought of taking before this travel started, like small kids playing on the road, or other small, abstract things! writing up a diary is another influence u've put onto me! (i remember i was laughing when Jamie said that u influenced him in writing his diary about Viet-nam and Cambodgia years ago!)
better stop here, going for a quick supper, probably chicken and chips as usual for me, then it's "Cuenca, here we come!"

Lester (Bree's Dad)
Dear Bree,Wonderful postcard from Ecuador. glad tour in a 'safer' area now. Seems your vigilant, looking out for each other as the incident an the bus illustrated. Have you still got your camera? Taking loads of pics? When are you going for a train ride? weather here is daft....suncream and umbrellas! News events....London got the olympics, Steve Gerrard changed his mind and is staying at Liverpool. talking of Liverpool, Adam and I are going to see Paul Merton (Have I got news for you) as part of the Liverpool Comedy Festival tomorrow night (review later). Mum sends her love. her computer is broken and its not easy to get on the school one.
Love and hugs ,Dad xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
