Great photos and amusing accounts of your hair-raising adventures to go with them! Am reading a book called the Gringo Trail. Your story is better. The Gringo Trail could do with some illustrations like yours. Maybe there's a job waiting for you as travel writers and snap-shotters. Your post-cards are like a geography lesson and the photos give a hint of what the climate is like. Watching your progress south on a map of South Am and guessing where you might be going to next. You caught me out by heading north again (from La Paz) to Rurrenabaque. Had enough of it all and heading for Brazil, Venezuela and home? Caramba!

Hola amigos!
we're in Rurrenabaque, preparing for our top 3 list of priority for S. America - sailing on the Amazon, meeting its so friendlies animals such as crocodiles, caymans, anacondas, and whatever that are waiting to welcome us there, and, not to mention Bree´s best friends, the mostiquos! As Bree said, we barely survived the Death Road, it was incredibly wicked, and quite eventful! u'll have to wait for Bree's next postcard to find out why!
here, i take the opportunity to reply to some of my dearest website fans!
Maman, i was just reading the last message u wrote, or the one before, u were saying something like "where is the postcard you should be posting?" i thought u always said to me like "go out and enjoy yourself, dont waste your time writing postcards or buy souvenirs!"? missing me too much now? :-)

Sinead, when i was reading ur message saying something like "it has been long since u last posted something up", i started to imagine that ur mama was starting to get real worried, and screaming down the house "where the hell is Anthony!" that u were getting irritated with these screamings that u were hoping one of us would post something up sooner or later to calm the banged up house from mrs Sinclair! (sorry, couldnt resist typing that down! :-) )
Jessie, thank u for updating us abt the transfers, but theres no much need as we boys re checking up the latest football transfers and gossips every time we log on the internet! (u know us boys all over the world, that are footballmaniacs, we would check up at any football news!)
Aman, u say "it looks cold out there", well, if u look properly at each picture, the weather totally varies from towns to towns and we wear t-shirts on a day, and a coat, hat, gloves the next day!! it is very hard to understand S. American weather! we have been reading again and again what it says in the Lonely Planet book, but it just doesnt really follow what the sky offers us! we often had no idea what the weather would be before we arrive at a place... but as u re travelling Brazil, i would say the weather will be absolutely gorgeous there. as for argentina, i THINK it is gonna be freezing, not too sure!
Lastly, bet u were wondering when i was going to mention ur name,........ BRINTHAN NANTHABALAN! after seeing the piccies i dont think there's much more i could say here to rub up ur nose, and regretting urself for not joining up travelling ur favourite continent in the world! But, we aint even half way yet, and Brazil, ur fave country in the world, is approaching (in abt 3 weeks), it is never too late to regroup the money u need, and book a last min flight (u did that once, quite recently!) Bree is getting bored of my and Ant predictable ways of mucking her about, and need someone fresher, especially someone like u!) and to add to that, we boys are already enquiring to watch argentina and brazilian football matches, which u wouldnt dare to miss it and hear what it was like from me, eh!
erm, hope i havent forgotten anyone here....... gotta stop here anyway, off to drop a couple of shots down our throats, to celebrate the end of Sophie Goddard's teenager years!

Hi Anthony, bet this is a surprise! Your mum gave me this web site a few weeks ago but we have been away and I am only getting down to sending you a message now. We've been having a look at your photos and they are amazing, you look so well, as do your friends, and you all look as though you are having a whale of a time. The pics are fantastic, some beautiful views, you'll be taking a course in photography next!!. Hope you continue to have a wonderful time. Keep safe. May and Bill

Hey Anthony and friends - your mum gave me your website address yesterday and i think it's absolutely fantastic!! U all sound like your having such exciting adventures. The photos are amazing!!! You certainly seem to have chosen a brilliant country to spend the summer months in. Mark is in Kenya at the moment so i should be hearing exciting adventures from him too when he comes home - although he is only away for 16 days! Take care and keep enjoying yourselves! Caroline xoxo

Hola Embles, Ant & Bree!
A real fantastic read of your exciting and thrilling adventures and Im glad youre making the most of your trip! The photos are magnificent and breathtaking, they have certainly inspired me to visit these impressive places sooner than later. Machu Picchu has always been in the top of my list of places to visit in the world, so quite understandably, Im quite envious of you lot! Love the sound of sand boarding! Cant wait to hear more tales, especially the bag thieves - so watch out your backs to see if theyre after you(!) No really, hope you are all pretty safe and looking after one another!
Believe it or not, Ive been soaking up the sun the other week in England, in my back garden to be precise, topping up my fading tan I acquired whilst travelling in Australia (Embles - Im sure you wouldnt be able to catch up with my tan by the time you return)! So youve missed the glorious weather here, but sadly its now pretty miserable. Its true that youre all probably safer in SA than in London at the moment. Chris - hope youve managed to avoid Sharm-El-Sheikh over the recent few days.
Glad to hear you guys tackled bungy jump as its definitely worth the adrenaline feeling! Bree - you should have done it! Embles - now you can understand why I was feeling rather terrified at the edge of the ledge before I jumped off in New Zealand! I wasnt being a drama queen for nothing! Bree - I can empathise with you over the mozzie bites - I had 11 of them, all clustered in the same area on one leg!
Looking forward to reading your future diaries, keep them coming in and rubbing our faces in it, they are well worth it at the end (eventually), Ive only recently managed to finish my diary of my Oz & NZ experience, like what after 4 months I returned! Dont put it off like I did, only made it harder to remember the little details. Ive just started making my scrapbook and sorting out photos, so Im looking forward to working on them for the rest of the summer! Im going to Copenhagen on a city break with Angela in September, which Im sure will be far more exciting than the stuff youve been up to in SA!
My advice: blow your budget like theres no tomorrow(!)
Take care and keep safe from the vicious would-be kidnappers/money pinching thieves,
Adios

Hey you adventurous bunch! :) The pictures look amazing, very unique and you can tell from looking at the pictures that you guys are making the most of it out there. Love the idea of the small plane overlooking those animal marks on the ground. It looks cold out there, looks like I'll need to bring warm clothes for Argentina. I'll e-mail in August about the meet up plans if its possible that you'll make it to Rio in time. You'll get girl company Bree :D Looking forward to hear more about your travels. x
Antonio

Hi there. Wonder where you are today. Its strange knowing you are in S.America, your Dad in Sri Lanki (where Grandad has been many years ago in the Navy when it was called Ceylon) and Aunt Val and family in Crete. We haven't decided yet where our next jaunt will be as Grandad has had a little set back but is improving. Take care sweetheart. All our Love XXXXX
Ant's Mum
Hi Anthony, Emlyn and Bree. What a fabulous postcard from Emlyn. I agree with your Dad - you have such a great way of describing everything and making it real for all avid fans reading this site. I only know of the most famous places you are visiting like Maccu Picchu - most of the places you describe I haven't ever heard of! The sandboarding in Nasca and the bungee jumping both sound thrilling. Real shame about the mosquitoes - Bree, you have my sympathies as they like me as well. The tunnel escapade sounds a bit close for comfort Anthony - Emlyn obviously saved the day! Yes I'm relieved to hear that you all survived the most dangerous road in the world! Very considerate, Bree, to leave a message for us! Actually I thought I had been on that road - it was somewhere between Haifa and Tel Aviv in Israel and I can still remember the terrifying bus ride 30 years later. Look forward to seeing the photos of Peru, also keep thrilling us all with your wonderful postcards. We are all back in Ireland - v.cold!:( xx
