We arrived in Buenos Aires with no accomodation booked. We'd requested an apartment on Air BnB before we left Mendoza, but they still hadn't replied by the time we reached Buenos Aires, so we were left with our back up plan: rock up at a hostel and hope they had room for us. So that's what we did. We found a metro station to take us to Palermo, and found the Art Factory hostel who thankfully had room. We plonked ourselves in the lounge room and read/wrote journal entries. All of a sudden we hear our names being called and lo and behold, our friend Steph form Valparaiso was standing in front of us. So we spent the day with her walking to Florida street to exchange money - the blue market is extinct now so we didn't - and she delayed her bus to Mar del Plata to stay the extra night with us. We made gnocchi for lunch, and a big risotto for dinner and shared beers while we planned to see a tango in the street (we didn't make it) and talked about poo to a Brit named Kris. It was an odd night...
