Day 11: free day in L.A.
Today turned out to be a comedy of errors for me.
After consulting Google Maps, I figured I could visit The Grove L.A. after doing some sightseeing.
First, I had to go to Fredericks of Hollywood (the iconic lingerie brand) to buy some momentos.
Then I visited The Hollywood Museum and saw The Marilyn Monroe exhibition. She was tiny. I'd say a size 8 in the waist and size 12 in the bust and hip.
And to think they called her big in the day????
I realise I have the same boobs as her as I look at her nude photos. What a thing to discover hey? Lol
Anyway, after the exhibit I start my walk to The Grove, which according to Google maps is a 30min walk from here.
Needless to say, I ended up walking to Beverly Hills!!! from Hollywood!!!
It took almost 2 hrs as I realised half way, that it must have been 30mins by car!
Luckily when my feet were about to drop, the kind lady at the corner florist called a cab for me and gave me a bottle of water. As you can imagine, I was quite parched.
After all that, I didn't even make it to The Grove, but I can proudly state that I really know my way around LA as I walked the walk.
When I got home to my hotel, I pissed myself laughing as I thought about the round trip that I had taken.
Oh well, I got to see alot more on foot then I would ever have seen driving, so I'll take that as the positive : )
