Friday 28th March

We had to get up to prepare to check out/change rooms. Daniel woke up quite early and made breakfast in bed for Lisa! When it was nearly time for check out, we dumped our bags into storage room as we were unable to change room till early afternoon to check in again.

We decided to walk and looked for Craft Markets. Unfortunately after a long walk, we couldn't find it and gave up! We returned back to the hostel to enquire about Robben Island where Nelson Mandela were held in the prison. We were told that we had to go to the waterfront to book the ferry to take us to the island. So off we went for a very long walk for at least 1 hour! By the time we reached to the waterfront, there were plenty of shops to browse around. We finally came across to the ticket desk and queued up to purchase tickets for Monday. The queue wasn't even moving and we were thinking what or why they were taking forever. Eventually after a long wait, the staff came up to us and told us that the tickets were sold out till 8th April!! We were shocked on how popular it was! We were gutted that we wouldn't be able to see the island. So we decided to walk around the shops and found the supermarket. We stocked up food supplies and we were getting tired. The heat were killing us as it was so high! It was at least 30C! We made our way back, changed rooms and then started to cook our tea.

For the rest of the day/evening, Lisa continued to update the diary as we were at least a week behind and she thought that it was about time to do it before we forget! Daniel wasn't feeling too good so he had an early night while Lisa did the diary.
