It is Glacier Climbing time! We were very tired after late night, last night. We met up with our group outside at the hostel and walked to the Glacier Centre. Luckily for us, they provides gloves, hats, overtrouser and raincoat.
It was really fun and enjoyable to do it, much better than our hike in Torgariro Crossing! We had to walk at least 2.5km before we could do the Glacier climbing. It wasn't cold at all, in fact we both took our jumpers off and just wore our jackets! We were at the front of the group with the guide leading us so we could be able to understand what the guides were saying. We reckon that we were quite lucky to be at the front cos we got plenty of good photos with lovely views without people from our group in the way!!
At half way of climbing, we stopped for our lunch and we had a alpine parrot called Kea walking around, trying to get our food! It was odd to see that kind of parrot on the glacier!
We did all of sort such as climbing through the gaps of the valley, going through the caves. it was absolutely freezing but yet, we didn't put the jumpers on. It was only our hands! At one point when we were going through the gap, Lisa was almost stuck due to her size of her bottom! hahaha Daniel, being as a knight managed to pull her through!
We have been climbing up and down, learning one trick called Shuffle. It was the technique that we used to get down the steep steps safely. we did the glaciers climbing for at least 5.5 hours but for the whole day, we have been busy for 8 hours! We were so knackered at the end of the day, couldn't wait to kick our hiking shoes off to breathe!!
We were hoping to do the spa in the evening to warm us up again but unfortunately it was confusing cos one said it was available and other said that it was closed at 8pm so we didn't bother with it in the end!
