Sept 10th Monday
Its bye bye to Chicago. We have found Chicago more laidback and relaxing, comparing to New York so we had a great time while we were there. Though, we were looking forward to Adaire's in Pontiac to experience the real american way of living.
We left the hotel and made our way to the train station for 1.45pm. It was on time but unfortunately we didn't arrive to Pontiac till about a hour later! The train was so slow and kept stopping! It was very confusing for us as our seats were upstairs so we couldn't see if we were at the station due the stopping and of course the delays.
We decided to ask the staff to let us know when we were nearby to Pontiac so we can ensure we didn't miss the stop!
Adaire was waiting for us at the station once we arrived with her big open welcoming arms. Before we went to her house, we stopped by at the supermarket to get groceries.
In our car journey to Adaire's house, Lisa was pleased to hear that Adaire have got a cat and a dog so she can cuddle and play with them.
We thought her house was lovely and cosy and felt at home. We were being shown around and introduced to her family/pets.
We were fed with lovely food that we have been craving for, a proper home cooked meal! It was a relaxing evening and catching up with Adaire and Joshua (Oh and of course with the pets)
