Monday 8th October

Our last day in San Diego before we leave for Los Angeles. We said our goodbyes to Emily and Ben. We did a quick shopping such as purchasing postcards etc. We caught the bus to take us to the downtown to catch the amtrak train to Los Angeles.

Before we got on the 1.25pm train, we decided to pop into the shop where we bought the laptop bag to make it easier for us to carry it around! Boarded on time and made our way to Los Angeles. The journey was just under 3 hours. Made our way to the hostel and were certainly pleased with the location as we can see the famous Hollywood sign! The hostel is very trendy! We were impressed with it. We certainly didn't expect to see the private kitchen in our dorm room! The room even came with the cable tv! But unfortunately no settings for us to turn the subtitles on :( Lisa Was gutted cos there was a Heroes Episode being shown on that evening!!

We had a look around to see where the nearest supermarket was. Also searched to see if there was any transports available to take us to Universal Studio or Disneyland as we have got the tickets to use up to attend both of them.

Unfortunately we couldn't find the nearest supermarket so we had to eat out at Tommy's, which was abit like Denny's (Macdonalds style for you UK peeps) It wasn't exactly enjoyable as along with the hamburger, they added the chilli meat with it which was very messy!

It was a chill out evening. We did try to do the updating on our website but it was unsuccessful due to lack of signal in our room. We did also retire to the bed early, in preparation to get up early to make the most of the day in LA.
