Wednesday October 10th
We decided to go to the Hollywood Universal Studios. We thought that because we were only there for a day and to make the most of it, we upgraded our ticket to the front of the line pass. They were certainly worth it as we actually managed to visit everything before the rides/shows closed.
First thing we went to was to visit Shrek 4D Show as it was the nearest to the entrance! We did enjoy the show but unfortunately we didn't realise that there were captions on the small tv at the front row of the seats till the end! It was very active as we were shaken and splashed at while we were sitting!
We decided to go on the Studio Tour as it was a perfect timing for it to start while we were in the area. We were dissapointed with it as there was no captions available on the screen on the bus as we would want to know what sets we were visiting. Lisa was gutted to not to see any Heroes Celebrities as they were being filmed on the stage 31 which we were going around on the tour. We learnt that if we had the VIP card instead of Front of Line pass, we would be taken onto behind the scenes on the sets and see how they were being filmed. However they were too expensive so we had to miss it out!
We made our way to make the most of all the rides such as Mummy Returns which was the best ride we have been in the park. It was very fast ride in the dark plus it was going backwards too! Jurassic Park was a water ride. We didn't really get soaked. We just made our way round the park, visiting all the rides and the shows seeing that we were only there for a day.
At one of the show, we went to visit the show called Backdraft which was about how the fires worked in the film. One part of the show, Lisa jumped, enough to ALMOST drop the camera! She wasn't expecting to have the landing where we were standing to watch how the fires work on the set to be shaken along with the big fires blazing in front of us! It was very hot!!
After visiting everything, we decided to make our way back to the hostel and had our tea very late! We had an early night as we were planning to visit Disneyland the next day.
