Sunday 7th October

San Diego Zoo time! Got up little late and went straight to have breakfast. So we quickly packed our things, ready for our departure for the bus at 10:17am. We had to get 2 buses to get to the Zoo. Once we arrived, we didn't realise how big it was with alot of steep hills! After looking at few displays near the entrance, we decided to get the cable lift straight to the back of the zoo as we have only got the afternoon to make the most of it! There was a fee to use the cable lift but luckily for us, our tickets were included.

Once we arrived to the back of the zoo, we went straight to see the Polar Bears. It was amazing as we were practically next to the bear, apart from the glass windows between us, of course!! We noticed that most displays were very close and easily viewed! No cage wires in the way so it was easy for us to take photos through glass windows. We also saw the panda bears for our first time, they were gorgeous. There was a cub recently born but unfortunately it wasn't available for the public, BUT we did see it on the webcam via TV. There were so many animals to see and alot of hard work, walking around a HUGE zoo! We made our journey back to the hostel and actually got away with a free bus ride ;) Woo Hoo!

At the hostel, we were going to make sandwiches as we treated ourselves a dinner at the zoo. Apparently they got nicked so it was back to the supermarket again to buy some more food! A quick shower before we had to do the packing again. Its certainly getting heavier each time we pack(!)
