today we take a stroll in the glorious sunshine from the site, finding the footpath to,the Pollingey Creek from Gerrans. Great walk in woodlands and open fields along the creek leading into Percuil River. It's well signposted and dogs only on lead short distance through village and later through the farm.
So hot hot today was glad of some cloud coming over when we stopped for lunch admiring views of Priory Point across the waters at St Mawes.
We retun on path we have walked before to Porth and down onto Towan beach. Hardly a soul about, we sit on the deep white sand for a cuppa. Forcing ourselves away we return along the coastal path and have a read before packing up.
Russ does a great job of folding the tent this time, and easily fits in the bag! Those who camp will know how frustrating this can be! I pack the car and trailer finding spaces! I ask if that's everything out, yes he shouts as he hoovering the carpets! Yes the carpets and Hoover needed packing!
We set off at 1830, arriving at 2330. Hit an accident on the A30 which slowed us down a bit and closer of part of the M5 so without that would have done it in 5hrs I would think,
A superb holiday, location of campsite for a weeks walking was perfect with very little travelling in the car. Safe for dogs on the coastal paths with beautiful beaches to explore.
Will definately return to the Roseland and probably the same camp site though not in school time as their is limited showers (5).
