A drive from Wanaka around 4 hours none stop, but we stopped over in Arrow Town on the lookout for gold and a walk at the river of a film location from Lord of Rings.
First whilst new tyres were fitted to Mini Cooper we went over to Puzzle World. Bit of fun to tax the old brain cells in the maze(which we all, failed at) and the optical illusions. Once mini was done we set on our way to Te Anau.
We travelled through spectacular scenery with the Crown Range a beautiful pass flooded by summer flowers.
We reach Arrow Town around 1430 and have a scrumptious home made fruit ice cream before setting off on the next leg past Queenstown and the enormous Lake Wakatipit.
The Ladies Mile mountain range were magnificent and rugged, The RemArkables, continuing on highway 6 until turning off for Te Anau on route 94. Here we see more flatlands and farm land.
