Alarm woke us to,rain, as forecast, hike cancelled to the Glacier. All gutted. However did get a last chance of the 5 places left tomorrow at 0650 flight. 40% chance of rain so hoping the rain clears today. We lounged in our room having breakfast using toaster and microwave (no hob or oven). 

after an hour or so we walked the 2 min walk to,HeliHike centre bought a few gifts and post card and headed to a cafe for a coffee. We took a Draw it game I bought Rob for Xmas and played this for an hour. Then moved onto pool and back to room for our packed lunch which should have been for our hike! 

Headed to Franz Josef to the Glacier Hot Pools and chilled for couple of hours. Headed back with clouds even lower over the mountains almost engulfing them completely ��. Not looking good for Helicopter hike tomorrow. 

Ate the White Pubm again a large meal few drinks but back at rooms to finish packing and getting ready, again, for possible hike. By 2130 the mountains still engulfed with clouds but rain stopped and a glimpse of blue sky on the horizon. Maybe we will be lucky. 

Day bag bag packed ready for drive to Wanaka after heli hike or very early as we will need to be ready at 0630!
