Today was the day Rob's parents flew home with a stop in Australia for a few hours before next flight. Jane and Dave in fact saw 2 New Years Eve's on their journey home.
Been great spending couple of days with the getting to know our extended family.
Russ and I let left Bec and Rob sleeping after their early hour visit to airport and walked down to Pegasus lake and through the woodland to the beach. It is a well.thought out area with a community feel. A 10.5 km coastal path, biking and horse trails.
It was was a lot calmer wind than yesterday and we strolled on the beach watching a yellow hammer playing in the sand.
We stopped off at the coffee bar, whilst the kids drove to a shopping mall sorting out lunch and tea, homemade pizzas.
We set up,the croquet in the garden with Rob determined to win a game however Tom took over and thrashed us all majority of the time!
I made a request for NYE for us all to swim in the South Pacific as not every year you c
get the option! So off we went after a few games of croquet and had a fab time. The waves were rather large and I was very brace! All enjoyed and the sea was not that cold!
Had fun recording with the camera and for me, trying to get knocked over by the powerful waves.
Returning home the kids made the pizzas now that Rob's dough had risen. We played croquet, then retired inside as the wind had got up and a tad chilly. We played some games having fun and saw the New Year in together, in the future!
