Smithers
Hi all!
It's a stuffy 35 degrees here in KL, how hot is it back home now? Has it finally cooled down yet?
Last night i didn't get any sleep - again. This big (in the nicest possible way) singaporean girl arrived in our dorm at 1.30 am. She wasn't pleased about getting a top bunk and asked how she would get up there and to be honest, I wondered how too! Eventually after much huffing and puffing she made it onto the top bunk and then switched the light on, started munching on snacks (noisy wrappers - grr) then she unplugged the fan and plugged in her laptop and proceeded to tinker away on the thing until 3am - i got up and said that i was turning the light off. I seriously had to count to 10 - not a happy smithers! Then, her alarm clock started going off at 10 minute intervals from 7am - if you are not intending to get up for a few hours, turn the blooming thing off!!!!! My other room mate arrived back between all this madness and i think she was a bit confused as to where this girl had arrived from. My roommate told me this morning that the girl had used her skirt as a blanket and she had to ask for it back - hee hee!
Anyways, got up early and megan and I where meant to go up the petronas towers - but yet again there was no tickets left!!! We then consoled ourselves in the shopping centre next door - we found a much larger topshop, zara, mango and la senza. Don't worry, I only bought one thing as we had to get back to meet the english couple helen and Paul.
We missed them as we were running late and decided to head off to the lake gardens on the other side of town. It turned out to be a mammoth mission and it took hours to get anywhere near it. We ended up having to have our lunch at the edge of at a very scenic carpark next to the motorway otherwise we would have both keeled over!
We were on a bit of a mission to make our own sanwiches to save money and were determined to have a good lunch. We had strawberry yoghurt for starters, then used the plastic spoon (disposable im afraid) to spread fake mayo onto the bread (the bread was sweet, yuck) then added a nutritious cheese slice -mmmmm! I was so excited by my lunch selection that I had to leave my dessert (an unripe orange) until later.
Once we got to the park, I got a taxi back as i was feeling weak and a bit dizzy in all the heat. When i got back I said goodbye to helen and paul who are going to work in new zealand for a year (i'll hopefully meet up with them next year) and now I am writing this note....zzzzzzzzzzz.
Off to chinatown for tea at 8 so im going for a power napp.
night night
smithers over and out.....zzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZ
