OK after the last essay i promise Il keep this short and sweet. After we left the Palace we went back and had to catch the train to Surat Thani which was where we were going to get the boat to the islands, We didnt exactly know what to expect as everyone we know had gotten the night sleepers except by the time we booked it we couldnt get those so we were to spent 12 hrs on a seat. The train was at half 7 so we were there in good time, we hopped on the train and there was only us and Thai people round us, we had hoped to bump into backpackers, the seats were ok, they reclined a bit anyway but the windows were fully open and there were fans, I sat on the next seat that was free to Hannah and got comfortable, The train took a good hr to get moving and eventually we were on our way. Wasnt too bad as we had our own seats and there was room to recline all in all the start was good... About an hr later I was made move as my seat was being used. Back beside hannah with no room and too afraid to recline as the man behind me had the longest legs, Every so often id be hit in the arm by passers by selling stuff shouting and their voice going through me for the whole night i didnt sleep a minute and was absolutely FREEZING, even though i had a cardigan on me i was soooo cold and after 10 hrs on the train i finally had to give in to using the toilet, the conditions were far from what i was used to at home. After a month in Asia i finally had no choice but to use a squat toilet. I went in and well tried but i got stage fright, well not exactly but you know what i mean, after ages i said i would take off my underwear nd shorts and just go for it. which i did and which worked till all of a sudden out of nowhere in the corner of the room water (i hope) started coming out everywhere the whole room started flooding really quickly, I was trying to balance myself while putting back on my shorts and not getting wet, I eventually managed it and washed my hands and ran outta the toilet but of course there was someone waiting i just looked at him and ran, he didnt know what was wrong haha anyway the place didnt flood out and i havnt used a squat since. We eventually got off the train at about 9 o clock the next morning and had to get a bus and a taxi without stop and eventually arrived at our bungolows, We arrived and the guy that owned it was an English man who spent most of our visit drunk. He told us he didnt have any record of our booking, we thought oh great!! anyway when he looked again it was right infrontof his eyes.The place was ok location was unreal we were right on the beach and the beach was amazing but the actual bungolows were kind of, well, average. But we didnt mind we had shops and things up the road. We were staying in a place called Baan Ti.nfortunately we were a good bit away from Haad Rin. Both of us decided to have a power nap thinking we woulnt sleep and at half 8 we woke, the whole day gone but we didnt mind. We had to get a taxi into Haad rin We went for a walk around and ended up eating in this place that was showing Family Guy we were happy out, Afterwards we went for a walk and found the beach, the beach in Haad Rin is where the famous full moon party is held but this was a radnom night and it was bopping with stalls and everything and apart from a local grabbing me in a lane trying to be funny it was all pretty cool. We walked along the beach and saw lights in the distance at the end of the beach on the clifftop was this cool bar, we had a drink there. On way way back the taxi dropped us in the village we were staying so that meant we had to walk to our place, We were s***ting it to say the least, not a light between us. We started walking and then we heard an engine and we heard dogs, We were surrounded by 4or5 dogs barking really angrily and well im so afraid of dogs and hannah even more so. We just walked really quickly and finally got to the room both of us were shaking and didnt really say much, It was horrible to say the least.

The next day we just lazed around on the beach the sand wasnt very soft but the water was really nice but really shallow. We didnt do much we did consider kite surfing but chickened out seeing as i cant swim or surf or fly a kite. That evening i was up the town using the internet and when i came back hannah was in the room she happened to mention there was a spider in the Toilet, She is really afraid of them but they dont really bother me so for once i was like oh i will get rid of it. The bloody thing was massive!! I got a 2 litre bottle and hit the spider a whack, i missed the fecker and it started crawling all over the place so fast, with that Hannah started screaming i finally killed it and i heard something outside, Hannah had screamed so loud that she had been heard in the restaurant and then came running to see if she was ok. It was so funny but the spider wouldnt be harming her again for sure haha. That night we went back into Koh Tao both of us were soooo afraid of the dogs but hannah brought her light, We were walking up when hannah thought that she was after standing on something, She was! it was a frog ha we laughed but it was still a bit manky. We went in and had dinner and settled for an early night infrn of wedding crashers.

The next day I needed to find the post office so we headin off to the local town to look for it. It was pretty much the same distance as Haad Rin. We got out but fogot to say that we wanted the post office and wen started out looking for it, It was ages away but eventually, after being so hot we could have melted we found it and did what we needed to do. we had lunch and deicded to go back for dinner but it took forever to get a taxi that night eventually we did and had dinner, We booked out ferry to Koh Toa but couldnt book any place to stay we were a bit apprehensive but we said we would go and hope for the best :)
