We have spent the last ten days travelling through Vietnam. Hanoi was ace, we really enjoyed it we visted Ho Chi Minhs mausoleum and the gardens for his house which were beautiful, the one pillar pagoda and the Temple of Literature. We arrived in Hanoi yesterday, the sleeper train was not very comfortable but we made it. We are staying in the old quarter which is great. Vietnam is absolutely crazy, we have never seen so many people and motorbikes. To cross the road you have to walk out into the oncoming traffic, if you walk slowly they all drive around you. Spent last night in a place called Lak Sao before we crossed the border into Vietnam today. Lak Sao was an interesting place、there was a new restaurant opening in town.....a dog BBQ.....we decided to give it a miss. We also had an interesting culinary experience in Vinh, we went to a street cafe, and they didn't speak any English, so we had to use the international sign language for chicken noodle soup. Which we got, along with a hacked up chicken...
