Day three on the Trek America Tour. We left Seattle on Monday and spent the first night at Kamloops. Camping for the first time was interesting. We have spent the last couple of days in Seattle. Went up to the top of the Space Needle on the first night to watch the sun set with a Starbucks....the sky was amazing to see... We went to the top of the John Hancock Centre (Big John) last night for posh cocktails, to watch the sunset and the lights come on in the city. It was really memorable. Today we went on a river cruise which was brilliant, it took us around the city and onto Lake Michigan which is 180 miles wide (how big!!!). We are now in Chicago. Just a quick journal entry as we move onto Seattle on Friday. Arrived here yesterday and went for a walk around the city. We also went on a ferris wheel on the pier and looked at the skyline from the lake side. Today we have been to the top of the Sears Tower and looked at the skyline, and tonight we are going to go and have cocktails at the top of the John Hancock tower and watch the sun set before having some food. We finally arrived at Niagara Falls. The train dumped us in the middle of nowhere and we had to climb over the train tracks to get to the taxis. The taxi took us in the opposite direction to the falls to our hotel (not a good sign). Our hotel room looked over the Niagara river which was really nice.
