Aloha!

We are having a great time relaxing in Hawaii. Weather is not too bad - it is pretty warm but can get a bit windy and sometimes it rains.... and by rain, it's more like a warm mist that slowly drifts down from the sky in which you barely get wet!

We arrived Friday to a lei greeting at the airport and went to our hotel. We wandered around a bit and did a bit of shopping (including having cocktails with lunch =P) before Emma and I wandered down to Waikiki Beach (still in jeans and boots so we got a few strange stares!!).

On Saturday, we headed to Ala Moana shopping centre (we didn't bring bathers with us and it's actually quite difficult to find decent bathers here!) for a bit of retail therapy....I sooooo need to start back at work ASAP! hehehe!!... In the evening, we headed to Dukes for dinner and drinks. It's gorgeous and right on Waikiki Beach and the food and cocktails were great! We then went for a moonlight stroll along the beach. The water was really warm!

Sunday morning we headed for Waikiki Beach for a swim and the water was freezing! Okay, not as cold as the pool at the hotel, but cold all the same and filled with rocks (which I hate!) and seaweed kept grabbing at my legs so we sat on the beach for a while before we decided we were cooking (it's ok, not badly!) and headed back to the hotel.

Tomorrow, Emma and I are going on a tour of Oahu which should be good. We have alot planned in and I'm afraid to say, I don't think I'm going to get time for my surfing lesson =( I will try though and upload the video for you all if I do =P
