Am sweltering in Warragul at the moment, ugh. It's really, really hot. Have any of you read the news? Yes, I am complaining because it's too hot to do anything apart from stay indoors next to a fan and a water tap!! My friends are blaming me for the hot weather (apparently it's very uncommon to have such hot weather in Melbourne) as they think I brought it with me from the desert!! Even the dogs are lethargic, poor things. Having such furry coats is not good in this heat!

I was out all day yesterday, wadda mistaka to maka! Experiencing mild heat stroke for the third time in about a fortnight is not doing me any good, I can tell you!

However, I did get to experience Melbourne town centre, Central Business District, downtown Melbourne, whatever the hell you call it. Being in a house with an Ozzie, a Canuck, and then me a Brit, we have an interesting smushing of phrases! I've learnt that a bogan is what we refer to as a chav, so that's good to know!

Anyways, had a wander around the shops yesterday and also went to St Kilda beach. It's quite a nice beach (it actually has sand!, yay!) but it was full of teenagers showing off their bikini's and their tans. It was fun to people watch but after a while it was just the same teens prancing around (and in 40 degree heat? Animals don't go out in this heat, what are we doing?) and so I shuffled off home. There's no shade at the beach (I need to start going back to my oriental roots and using my brolly as a parasol - I'm being serious. I always used to laugh at them at home, but it's actually useful here) and sweating whilst you're in the shade is just not fun!!

Saw the infamous Flinders Street station, Federation Square (kind of ugly, but also kind of interesting) a heck of a lot of shops, and a heck of a lot of sweaty business people who really looked like they needed a holiday!

So glad I'm staying indoors today!! Am off on the Great Ocean Road with April over the weekend though, so that should be good, especially as she has air conditioning in her car - yay! :D
