Hiya! Well, we havent done very much the last couple of days, have been going to our Spanish classes from 8-12 then just relaxing and eating in the afternoon. Ahhh its a hard life! ha ha! Actually, the classes proved to be v.difficult considering my tutor didnt speak a word of English, so it was more of a two-way lesson, with both of us spending most of the lesson searching through dictionaries so as we could understand each other! Hey! We are still having a great time in the village of Copan Ruinas! Yesterday we went to see the Mayan ruins nearby, which really are amazing! There is a whole city there! There is also an impressive 63 step staircase which holds the longest inscription of Mayan hieroglyphics. We spent the morning exploring the ruins, and also wandered through a little nature trail close by, saw a weird furry animal - have no idea what it was! Today we went horse-back...

After a long 4 hours coach trip through the beautiful, green mountains of Honduras we arrived in the little mountain village of Copan Ruinas. Its an old and pretty village with cobbled streets. 15 minutes walk to, apparently, the most amazing Mayan site in the world! The people here are much friendlier than in San Pedro, it is so relaxed - we love it! We found a lovely hotel too - spotlessly clean rooms at the back of a lovely cafe with gorgeous food, ...
