Hi everyone, last weekend I went to Samara for a couple of days away with Isabel & Roman. It is very quiet with a beautiful beach and we spent most of the weekend sleeping and eating! Shake Joe's became our favourite hangout, a very chilled out restaurant right on the beach with lots of hammocks and massive high wooden beds to sit on! On Sunday, we felt rather guilty that we had done nothing at all active so we made up this by kayaking to a nearby island across the sea. I was very scared that we would tip over in the waves so I was in the kayak with the guide. After a shaky start (a wave came right over us and all the cooler boxes came unattached so I was trying to stay in the boat, not lose my oar and hold onto the cooler boxes, yes it was very comical to watch!), I actually quite enjoyed it!

So this was my last week at school, I can't believe how quick the last 8 weeks have gone! Friday was very sad, having to say goodbye to all the teachers. It has been an amazing experience for me, I have learnt alot in the past few weeks and made some great friends here. I had to move out of the student house on Sunday, so yesterday night I stayed at my friend Kerri's house. My next plan was to go to Montezuma, a beach town south of Tamarindo but it is virtually impossible to get there without having to detour round the whole of Costa Rica, BUT Melania, the receptionist at school who has become a good friend, has very kindly offered to drive me there tomorrow. I am going to rent the car but can't drive it myself because my driving license was in my stolen bag. So, I shall go to Montezuma!

It is going to be so sad to leave Tamarindo tomorrow, it has become like my second home. I know my way around so well, I know all the local people in the shops, everyone is so friendly here. But I know I have to move on otherwise I would end up staying here forever! So, from now on my updates and emails will probably be less frequent (the internet at school was free so I was on it every day)! But please keep me updated with everything, I look forward to everyones emails!
