WELL.....I DID IT!!!! I just passed my PADI Open Water Diving Certification!!!!! I know a few of you can scuba dive too but for me it was one of the hardest, most challenging things I have ever done. Some of the skills I found very difficult like swimming without your mask on under water but my instructors were amazing and very patient!

On my second open water dive yesterday, I had to pretend I had no air and use my buddys alternate regulator to go back to the surface. So all was going fine,  I swapped to his spare regulator, we linked arms and were just about to go up when the bloody mouthpiece popped off the hose and I actually had no air for real!!!! I was so scared, I just looked at my instructor who, after a few seconds of working out what had actually just happened, shoved his spare regulator in my mouth and pressed the purge button to clear all the water out.  As you can imagine, I then clung onto him for dear life until we reached the surface! He said he was pretty scared too, he has never seen that happen before and trust it to happen to me of all people!

Anyway after all that extra excitement, I really enjoyed todays dives - we even saw an eagle ray and a turtle! So tonight I am off to celebrate and buy my instructors some well earned beers!
