Hi everyone, firstly thank you for all my bday emails, messages, cards and presents! I had a great weekend, everyone here made my birthday really special. Celebrations started on Friday night...we went to Crazy Monkey bar/club and my friends got the live band to sing happy birthday to me! Then we did a countdown at midnight to my birthday!

Saturday, 10 of us plus 6 surfboards got a minibus to a nearby beach called Playa Avillanas which is beautiful and really secluded. We had a massive picnic and cooler box full of beers! My friend Mike gave me a necklace and a shot glass (he said one of his first memories of me was cracking open a bottle of vodka at 5pm after a hard day at school!). My housemate Alison gave me some chocolate and Martina and Roman bought me four cakes from Subway! We watched the sunset with cocktails in hand and then drove back to Tamarindo for more celebrations!

We went to a nearby town called Llanito where there was a traditional fiesta with a rodeo and bulls, stalls and candyfloss etc. Then back to Tamarindo for a few glasses of one at a bar on the beach plus a free chocolate crepe from the sexy waiter because my friends told him it was my bday! Then we went to Mambo Bar and ended the night in Babylon dancing the night away and doing tequila shots!!
