We got a guesthouse about 5 min away from the beach. We decided to dump our bags and go straight out for breakfast. We then went to the beach for the rest of the day to relax and try and get some sleep. This was impossible though with all the locals pestering you to buy things! The beach here was very disappointing as it was littered and the water dirty with plastic bags and general rubbish. Nha Trang is the most popular place to dive in Vietnam so that evening we decided to book a dive where you do a try dive and if you like it you can then do a second dive the same day at another location.
The next morning we had to get up at quarter to 7 to get to the dive centre for quarter to 8. Most dives are done in the morning as the weather often changes in the afternoons. We were on a nice boat with about 12 other people. We got taken about 45 min away to a dive location near a small island. After seeing the equipment and getting a short talk on how to use it we were in the sea ready to do the dive. I was slightly nervous about it being claustrophobic but once I got used to the sound of my own breathing it wasn't too bad. I had the manager of the dive centre diving with me so that made me feel a lot better about it. Once we got to the sea bed it was amazing there was coral everywhere and hundreds of tropical fish I couldn't believe I was doing it! We saw lots of weird fish as well like long yellow trumpet fish, massive purple star fish, and multi coloured ones, and all the nemo characters except nemo! We dived to 7 meters and stayed there 20 mins which was long enough for me and I got stung on the face by a type of jellyfish! Once back on the boat I decided I didn't want to do the 2cd dive but Ady decided to do the 2cd dive as he was really comfortable in the water and a bit more confident than me! I chose to do snorkelling at the 2cd location which was really good as well and you could still see a lot of fish but I avoided the jelly fish which I found out most people on the dive got stung by. They are not too bad though it's like a nettle sting and only lasts 10 min or so. Ady absolutely loved the 2cd dive to as he got to go through a small cave and saw lots more fish and he also learnt how to control going up and down and control breathing etc.
We got back to the resort for 1pm so we went to the beach for a few hours.
That night we had a nice 1 year anniversary meal and treated ourselves to a nice bottle of rose and steak!
The next day we were going to do a boat trip but we heard it wasn't very good so we decided to sunbathe-again and book our bus to Mue Ne which was only 4 hours away not too bad!
