We woke up this morning at about 8:00AM only to realize the hotel has not contacted us, so there was no cruise in Halong Bay allowed due to the severe weather forecast.
We had an early breakfast, lounged around the room a bit and went for a walk in the hotel's vicinity. We then decided to take a taxi into the town, which turned out to be sort of a waste of time, but hey - we sure have time around here. :)
We then came back to the hotel, put on our swimming gear and headed to the beach, only to realize the water are sooooo murky from the upcoming storm. So, after an hour, we went back to the hotel and hung around the pool with some nice drinks, until the rain started at around 4:00PM.
We went to rest for a bit, had a coffee at the bar, did some packing and went to have dinner.
Ami had the most amazing sea platter (crab, tiger prawns, squid, fish and oysters) for a ridiculous 7USD.
We're now off for tonight, and while today was wasted because of not being able to take the cruise on the bay (for no apparent reason - we could've been ages before the storm even started...) - we still had some fun. :)
Tomorrow, our limo takes us back to Hanoi airport and from there, we're of to our next destination - Danang, in central Vietnam.
