We had a decent day today in Belem. Getting there was a nightmare, literally. Avoid tram 15 at all costs. It is overcrowded, noisy, smelly and slowww. We then visited the famous monastery, the stunning Discoverers monument and the tower of Belem. I then went to visit the former Expo 1998 site, which was nice, plus I saw the local X-Factor being taped. Tomorrow we were supposed to go to Sintra, but due to a nasty weather, we might be forced to stay in Lisbon. ...

We had a rather pleasant - if a bit short - day in Lisbon.We went to the Baixa and Avenida and then to Bairro Alto and Estrela. They are nice areas, but they lack the "WOW" effect. We ended up not walking THAT much, but the hills of Lisbon, oh, the hills of Lisbon - no maps nor pre-reading about it can prepare you for it. You simply need to be fit. This morning, our TAP flight was cancelled and we were moved to Iberia, but the domb asses forgot to send our luggage with us, although we specifically asked for it. We ended up in hot Lisbon with only what we are wearing. Our bags are somewhere in Europe... . We did manage to do some sightseeing, though. It`s a lovely city but the luggage thingie ****** us off... . Let`s hope we get our bags tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

Today we got on a train to the beautiful, semi-majestic city of Toledo. We admired its ancient streets, met the three monotheistic religions, had a REALLY bad lunch and worked on our cardio with the intense slopes of the city. A great dinner finished our time in Madrid. Early tomorrow morning we`re off to Lisbon. G`night!

Had a nice day on the city. Visited a church, a dumb wax museum, two nice art museums, some parks and and ancient Egyptian temple. We concluded our day in an Italian restaurant. Tomorrow, we`re off to a day tour in Toledo. Adios! :-)
