After a good night sleep and an average (yet complimentary...) breakfast, we returned to our room to rest for a bit, packed all our luggage, and headed to town after a short rest.
We visited some beautiful gardens, saw the Royal palace (from afar), visited a lovely shrine and did some electronics shopping.
The main thing we faced today is just how crazy and not smart is the Tokyo metro and train systems.
It literally takes FOREVER to understand it, and we usually grasp those things instantly.
Another thing that we learnt - the HARD way - is that connecting stations are sometimes REALLY far from each other (and I'm talking hundreds of meters apart!), so you better put on your good shoes.
We ended the evening in a city in a local pizzeria. Oh yeah, it's IMPOSSIBLE to find a non-smoking place in Japan. The locals smoke EVERYWHERE. How horrible is that???
When we arrived to the hotel after some grocery shopping, we were put in a great suite - this time - a non-smoking one.
Tomorrow afternoon we're moving to another hotel.
