Zvi Josef's Travels
Said our goodbyes to good ol' New Delhi and took a taxi (with a driver we hired for 3 days) from New Delhi (Gurgaon, actually) to Agra.
On the way, before leaving New Delhi, we went to see the Lotus Temple, which is the worship house of the Bahii's. The building itself looks like a giant lotus and its white colour shines a lot.
The place was pretty hectic, and since we were on a rather tight schedule, we decided to look at it from outside and not take our shoes off and visit it inside.
The drive to Agra took apx. 4 hours and was an ongoing display of aggressive driving, honking, taking and almost getting into accidents - or as the saying goes - a regular day on India's roads.
Upon arriving to the hotel we were relieved that the tough ride is over.
During the drive, Ami felt a bit weak, and later when we arrived to the hotel, we realized he had a fever. Hopefully, he'd be OK for tomorrow's Taj Mahal visit.
Naturally, we were upgraded to a nice suite and the hotel seems like a very solid 4* hotel (yet not the 5* luxury we're used to). :) But hey, we can see the Taj Mahal from our window. How cool is that? :)
More to come - tomorrow.
