Bonjour from Paris!

Sorry for the cryptic previous post... we have been struggling to find internet access and time at this hotel. That is the reason for less posting and no pictures... also, the keyboards are not QWERTY so it is slow going... if you see spelling mistakes, blame the keyboard!

so we are just posting in advance of an extremely busy day of Paris- hopping! first the louvre, D'Orsay, Napoleons tomb, eiffel tower and then the Arc de Triumph.

Tomorrow we have our day trip to the war beaches in Normandy - so expect the next post to be from Vienna on sunday.

we are really enjoying the beauty of this city- probably the best example was the palace of versailles, which we toured yesterday. actually our favourite part were the gardens, couldve spent all day there admiring the perfectly planned and coiffed grounds with fountains, sculptures, 25 ft hedges, and incredible flower pathways. we marvelled, we adored, we had moments of peace in the midst of a crazy day;

and to top it off... yesterday evening, we also enjoyed a taste of classic french cuisine... crepes!

so we are off - the Champs is calling!
