Our last few days in Europe were spent on land - we tripped around Holland by foot and by train. We added an impromptu day trip to The Hague (Den Haag), the political centre of The Netherlands, and home of many important EU sites.

It has been a lifelong goal for us to take the trips of our dreams together.
In September of 2012, we finally stepped onto a plane bound for Europe from Toronto. London, Paris, Vienna, Munich and Berlin.
ONCE in a lifetime was simply not enough. We continued our love affair with European adventure again in 2013 - this time to Amsterdam.
A year later, we return to discover Europe by boat. We'll sail the Baltic Sea Amsterdam - St. Petersburg hitting Scandinavian ports along the way.

Mackenzie is off to Germany with the family she works for on Monday and then the last week of August she is visiting Sweden with another Au Pair who is from Sweden :)

Having just come from a wonderful cruise myself, it sounds odd to say that I'm jealous...but I too had my first cruise and loved every second of it...you have a very exciting journey ahead and I can't wait to read your daily blogs...watch the desserts...or walk a ton as the vast assortment can break the most disciplined of us...Wishing you a fantabulous time!!
