Days 18, 19, 20, 21, and 22 We left Lanta Thip after lunch to catch the ferry to Ao Nang, Krabi. We were a little creeped out on the journey to the ferry port by two 60 year old American men with their 20 year old thai companions. Days 15, 16 and 17 We decided to head to the main beach (Long beach) in Koh Lanta. We had been warned by the guesthouse owner that it could get quite busy but when we arrived via a 2 minute tuktuk journey we realised that the Lanta people's defintion of busy was very different to our own. Day 14 We were up at 6 to finish packing and catch the minibus, though we needn't have bothered because it didn't turn up till 7:45 The guy put our rucksacks on the top of the bus and I was a bit worried that they were going to fall off because the driver was speeding in order for us to make the ferry on time. Days 11, 12, and 13 Our last day in Chiang Mai was pretty uneventful but this was largely due to Jamie being down in the dumps over the loss of his 'hero'.
