Howdy partners!

I'm now on Virgin America 35,000 ft above LA heading for NY.

Not much to report since we left SF - stopped in Santa Barbara on the way to Carpenteria but with only a 2 hour stop just had a look round the shops and a quick walk along the pier.

At Carpenteria I saw no more than the inside of the hotel and the road in & out.

Definitely keen to do it all again one day at a slower pace - would love to spend more time Las Vegas & SF in particular - so many places to see though and so little time!!!

Yesterday we checked out Hollywood Boulevard & Melrose Avenue - both sound more exciting then they are to visit but had to tick them off the list.

Ended our Contiki trip when we hopped off at Venice Beach with some other friends we'd made on Contiki - hoping to meet them in NY so will have people to party with Friday & Saturday night :0)

Tanya & I used our on call travel agent (Tanyas husband Gavin) to book us a cheap room near LAX for the night so ended up at the Sheraton where we didn't leave our room all evening except for an unhealthy Burger King dinner & trip to the bottleshop for a 375ml of Smirnoff Vodka ($6.99).

I thought I hadn't shopped much yet but still decided to clean up my bag and roll everything and found the following additional items which had managed to stow themselves away ...

2 belts
2 dresses
6 singlet tops
3 boob tubes
3 halter necks
6 tshirts
A handbag
A backpack
Pair of jeans
Pair of black knee hi boots
4 hats
3 shot glasses
4 hard rock cafe glasses (real glass)
A book
A gold watch
And a cat costume (minus the tail - god knows where that ended up after Lovefest?!)
And of course leopard skin fishnets to match :0)
And only a couple of souveneirs :0(

So maybe I have done a little shopping after all???

I was only 60 pounds at the airport and still plenty of room - bank balance not so healthy though :0(

Went to the gym this morning - had to lift my belly off my legs so I could run on the treadmill but think Ive managed to burn off just enough to make room for the baked cheesecake, giant pretzels & Cosmopolitans in NY ;0)

Umm can't think of anything else to share? Might see what else I can find to entertain me for the next 5 hours ...
