Hey y'all!

Well here I am arrived safely in the USA and 29 hours after departure and maybe 4 hrs sleep it's still 18th September ... Been a looooong day! (41hrs to be exact!)

Right now we're at Tanya's Auntie (& Uncles) place in Altadena - west of LA in the hills.

She's been a fab host pickin us up at the airport at 7, making us feel super comfy here then taking us shopping tonight then more of the same tomorrow!!!

Shopping is great! Some shops normal price but then others are heaps cheaper! iPhones are only $199 for 16gb!!!

Anyone want one I'll do you a special deal ;-)

Had tacos for dinner ($13.95USD) and yes everyones right - meals are large portions so feelin very content! Had an awesome mojito ($8.95). Made our first tip and without bein stingy is quite affordable eating out :0)

Not sure if I'm still a bit jet lagged but still trippin out on LA and feel like I'm in a Cops episode! Have to fight the urge everytime I walk past a police car to not stop and get my photo taken!

And lovin it when people call u Mam - could get used to that :0)

Plan is now to check out Venice Beach and shopping tomorrow, stay in Long Beach at Tanya's cousins tomorrow nite, stay in a friend of his apartment at St Clemente Sunday night, then Anahiem Monday night for Disneyland Tuesday, Contiki leaves from there Wednesday :0)

Also funny story from airport - thought customs officer was familiar and when he asked about passport stamp from Laos confirmed he was the same cool Aussie dude who checked me back into Oz last year from Hong Kong and chatted about Laos again ... Anyways small world in Brissy!
