After catching the overnight train we ended up at a nice hotel in Ayutthaya. We set off on rented bikes to do a tour of the town, which was a lot of fun, apart from the crazy traffic at first. We went to Wat Chai, Wat Mahathat and Wat Phra Si San Phet, all of which are spectacular ruins of temples that the Burmese burnt down in the 15th Century. We both got slightly sunburnt on the bikes. In the afternoon we had free time so we went to the hotel pool and chilled out reading our books and magazines. This was the first time we had sunbathed since getting here. Went for fish and chips at night, but weren't as good as Dunsville chippy!!!!
